해운대

Last night I watched a Korean disaster movie about a tidal wave wiping out 해운대, a part of Busan. Even though my Korean is terrible, I understood more of this movie than I did the Hindi film we watched in India, so that's good news.

It was fun to watch, though, because it's a disaster movie about Busan instead of Seoul, and the scenery was familiar. It's a bit like watching a film where Grand Rapids is being destroyed or attacked instead of New York or L.A. I saw the Gwangan Bridge destroyed, which I guess is comparable to seeing the red sculpture at the Calder Plaza destroyed. It was fun.

In other news, Emily went back to America. I will miss her.
